Mute Cities and Keegan Tawa joined forces with Sounds to bring a night of killer local, original music to State College.  These two highly popular groups within the Penn State community delivered fans a concert they won’t soon forget.

Around 8:15 p.m., Mute Cities kicked off the double-band show with their group of five incredibly talented artists: Zach Kramer, Jacob Ludwig, Derek Williams, Jonathan Callan and Ben Visnecky. From their first song, it was clear that the group brought their A-game. The friends delivered a set of indie-alternative songs that brought the crowd to their feet.  Following the completion of each song, the crowd chanted their name and cheered for more.  When Mute Cities reached the end of their set,  Keegan Tawa stepped onto the stage and brought a change of pace from the rock music that previously filled the room.

Not only does the electro house artist Keegan Tawa have a dance-your-shoes-off beat, but he also combines the jazzy sounds of a saxophone with smooth female vocals in his mix.  Tawa kept the crowd on their feet, dancing around the room, until he closed the concert around 10:15 p.m.  His dedicated fan base brought an explosive amount of energy to the dance floor and the crowd loved every second of it.

Ultimately, the show’s combination of brilliant lights, a hyped up crowd and an incredible variety of tunes will send this Sounds event into local Happy Valley music history!
